trompe l'oeil

Tape, Paper and Illusion Trompe-l’œil paintings exploring the boundary between illusion and reality through layered paper, masking tape and tattoo imagery.

ontemporary still life oil painting by Alberto De Flavis, an Amsterdam-based artist, featuring a vibrant red tulip with a yellow and black butterfly, a small white flower, and a second floral painting attached to a pale pink background. The trompe-l’œil composition explores colour, texture, layered paper and the interplay between painted objects and everyday materials.
